Cuisine Quality:
The menu at The Stamford Bridge Inn is a celebration of British comfort food, with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients and hearty, satisfying flavors. From the tender roast dinners to the flavorful steak and ale pies, each dish is carefully crafted to provide a sense of tradition with a contemporary twist. The fish and chips, a British staple, are a must-try—crispy golden batter encasing flaky white fish, served with thick-cut chips and a side of tartar sauce that enhances the experience.
For those craving something a bit lighter, the salads and lighter fare, such as the grilled chicken breast with seasonal vegetables, offer a refreshing balance to the heavier dishes on the menu. The vegetarian options are thoughtfully prepared, with dishes like the roasted vegetable Wellington providing a satisfying alternative to meat-based meals.
The pub also serves an impressive range of local ales and wines, offering guests the opportunity to pair their meals with a beverage that complements the flavors perfectly. The knowledgeable staff is always happy to recommend a drink to suit your tastes, ensuring that every aspect of your meal is enjoyed to its fullest.

Visited as family of 3 and were very impressed from going in to coming out. Waitresses very friendly and attentive. All meals excellent in particular the beef and ale pie. Would highly recommendless
Been coming here for years. This time rather disappointing. Waited while manager? too busy- heads down- to acknowledge us. Rump steak looked good but was so tough only part edible. Chips v pale. Ice cream dessert very small messy scoops. Staff pleasant but didn't know the menu and even had to look up how many scoops. Might have had another drink if offered. Needs leadership. Disappointing as we are regulars at other Hydes pubs.less
Great food and atmosphere. A good gluten free menu and can accommodate to any changes. I have attended the quiz a number of times and it is always a lovely evening.less
Family of 7 dining for nans birthday. Starters were very good but took a while to arrive. Main meals were awful, children had buttermilk chicken burgers which all looked over cooked, and the sharing platters had way too much meat and were overpriced for the quality of the food. Cauliflower cheese was too al dente and most of it was left. Service wasn’t great. We had prebooked and they tried to seat us in an area where there was clearly a lot of customer traffic, and we requested to be seated elsewhere. The girl offered us to be seated in a raised area but had to wait some time for the table to be cleared and reset. Toilets were ok but no loo paper in either of the ladies cubicles and paper was strewn over the toilet floors, not sure anyone checks these regularly and there certainly wasn’t any rota located in the loos that showed this was done, Food was poor to average, service I would give 4/10 at best. Sorry, but I certain,y didn’t enjoy the venue at all and won’t be returning anytime soonless
